Hockney!

So this is a photo project experiment that I did over the summer.  I hadn't shown anyone that was in it yet and Josh was asking.  So here it is.  This one didn't turn out as great as the individual ones did but it still is a cool process.  It took lots of time to piece together all the images to get this all in one!  These kids were great models!   This is a bad crop but my photoshop isn't up and running on this computer right now.  So if you want a copy, I can email you a better one!

Flowers for You

Mom needed some flower images for the house so of course I couldn't let her just go get any image off of the internet.  So I went to the gardens on campus and took some shots and then played around with them in photoshop.  I had tons of fun with all the new things I learned!  I'm loving my new imac, it makes this stuff a lot more enjoyable!  Hope you like them!  Some of them are similar but have different color techniques to them.  Mom, pick the ones you want to print and the color schemes you like and I'll send you the right ones so they all match and the size you need!

Rainy Days

This past weekend we started cleaning out our garage trying to get it all organized so that we could get both cars in there.  We pulled everything out and I started going through things and putting them in piles that were trash and piles that were going to D.I.  Well, I didn't get very far because it started raining like crazy and we had to just push everything back into the garage.  Luckily we were able to get it all to one side so that we could at least get one car in.  Anyways, so then  we were back inside and not really sure what to do.  Justin's friend Eric was staying with us so they did their guy thing and started playing the ps3.  So, I decided that a craft is perfect for a rainy day! I've had this idea in my head for a long time but I just haven't gotten around to actually doing it.   But here is my creation! I found three clear glass plates at the D.I. with a few other little things and here is what I came up with!

It took more time than I thought...a few days actually.  There was lots of waiting for everything to dry.  But I have been very pleased with how it turned out. 

So of course I had to make some cookies to put on my new creation!  The cookies are definitely not pretty.  Something about Idaho makes them go flat and funky like that.  I'm still working on getting them right! :)

I'm excited to make some more and try different things.  My next venture is going to be a cake stand I think!

Happy Campers

Justin and I got a bunch of camping stuff for our wedding!  We were super stoked.  So we took a weekend and went camping.  Just the two of us.  Mostly because we currently have no friends around here to go camping with.  But none the less, it was still a blast.  I forgot to take pictures the night we got there so these are all from the next morning.  We made hobo dinners and peach cobbler in our new dutch oven!  It was divine! :)  We had to hike up the hill a little ways to find some wood for our fire.  Justin was very excited to use his new hatchet to chop wood.  He felt like a MAN! Haha.  

This is our lovely little campsite.  With no table might I add!  They were free little campsites and all the good ones with tables were already taken by the time we got up the mountains.  It was alright though.  We survived. 

We were so full the night before from our dinners and peach cobbler that we didn't roast marshmallows and make s'mores.  You can't go camping without making s'mores.  So... naturally, we had them after breakfast!  Justin's had strawberry marshmallows and mine was made with a Reese's instead of just a Hersey's.  Tasty tasty!

Rubber Ducky... You're the one!!!

So Justin and I went down to the green belt one Saturday to take a walk and see what was happening.  They were having some Idaho Youth Jam thing along the river.  Every year they do this and there are all kinds of booths set up along the green belt with food and activities for kids and lots of random things to buy.  People "adopt" a rubber duck and in the afternoon they take all these rubber ducks in a huge crate and they dump them into the river near the falls.  It's a duck race.  So the owner of the first rubber duck over the falls wins a car or something!  It's so crazy!

If you look past the real ducks in the river, all the yellow things are the rubber ducks racing to victory!

First attempt

Ok, so here goes my first attempt at blogging!  I'm excited about this!  I'm not really sure who's going to read any of this but it's still fun to share what's going on with us way up here in Idaho!  I hope you all enjoy!
